ok as IO posted a few weeks ago I put GC back in my truck. wiered thing is. this is the second time doing so and both times I have had to put 7Qt instead of 6 as it calls for. now all the other oils I have used I have put 6 QT in and was right on the F mark.

so whats going on. the guys at AZ taking lil shots of GC to stay young or is there not a true QT in the bottles?

Very bizarre, never had that problem with my STi and GC. Unless the quart containers were down quite a bit in volume, I can't see how more GC will fit in your crankcase compared to any other oil.

I've never had this problem... is the oil level above the clear indicator on the bottle?

Mine always is, maybe by a couple cm...

dont know will have to look at my other bottles. I check my oil level today and right on the money. so 7 QT did make it to the full line. maybe the elves are playing a joke on me

The force is stong in you, Dark Jedi, I have forseen it. As a result your GC oil will always be 7 quarts, or maybe before you forgot to change you oil filter..

everyone trys to be a comic
yeah I changed the filter.

had a good laugh reading that.

One time...LONG time ago (in a Galaxy far far away) I had changed my oil, changed my filter and put in the oil. All 5 quarts that it was supposed to take. Checked the dipstick like I always do before I start up. It generally ALWAYS shows quite a bit over the Full mark because of the new filter not getting soaked yet. But, this time, no oil on the dipstick?? What the ??? Looked underneat and the 5 quarts was back in a VERY full oil drain pan. Frack!

Then I crawled back underneath and put the drain plug back in.

My brains were just beginnig to come in and the force was, well... not so strong.
