Why the guard on wheel balancers?

First off, you're supposed to remove the existing weights BEFORE spinning, no? And what little stones are we talking about that are stuck in the tire that's been driven at 70 or 80 mph but somehow get loose at balancer speeds of maybe 30 mph?


No you just spin them to check the balance when a customer asks, most times youll find one out of 4 is off, much easier to just do one all over than 4 no? And like explained, handling them can make things come loose, Ive had perfectly balanced wheels that ive bounced on the ground when taking off the hub and the weights fall right off.
