Why isn't the Pathfinder V8 E85 compatible?

I was under the assumption that the 2008-2009 Pathfinder V8 was E85 compatible since it uses the same 5.6 is the Armada and Titan from the same year range. It's also assembled at the same factory in Smyrna TN. Is the ECU different?

E85 requires different (bigger) injectors and specific fuel system components to stand up to long term high ethanol usage. The engine itself doesn't really care, but has to be supported by all the other components around it. Nissan probably didn't want to stack that added cost on a lower margin vehicle.

Just a wild guess on my part. Only they know why they decided not to support it.
