Why doesn't Mobil make Mobil 1 EP in 5W-20?

Mobil 1's EP specifically says for use in vehicles out of warrenty. If you go to "whats the right oil for my car" section. One of the questions it asks is if the vehicle is under warrenty. If it is then the EP will not be listed, if it isnt then the EP will be listed as an option. (edit: at least i thought it did before, but it doesnt now)

With all the Hondas and Fords on the road spec'd for 5W-20 that are already off warranty, maybe EM knows something we don'... Aw, forget it.

I'm curious. Since so many vehicles have a manufacturer's recommendation to use a 5W-20 oil, it seems to me that Mobil could make a lot of money by selling its Mobil 1 EP in a 5W-20 weight. So why doesn't it? Does anyone know why?
I think it is just a matter of time before they do offer it.
That's part of my point. Since so many cars are on the road and under a warranty and the owner's manual recommends 5W-20, that's the oil most people are probably going to use, to avoid any warranty problems. So Mobil could could cash in by selling its Mobil 1 EP in a 5w-20 weight.
They probably don't want to spend the money on GRPIV base stocks, thus they can't extend the drain. Does anyone know of any extended drain GRPIV 5w20 over 7500 miles?

Exxon-Mobil does strange things sometimes! Not having what most high volume vehicle manufacturers require in their engines is asinine. Saying they prefer to just give away a segment of their business to rival oil producers is really off-the-wall. In the meantime, they rather watch their 0W-20 standard Mobil-1 collect dust on store shelves.

First of all, although not my favorite brand of the moment Mobil 1 5w20 is certainly as much PAO as the other grades of M1.
Second, Just what about PAO makes it superior for extended OCI's compared to aaa VHVI oil made in a different manner?
Third, What's magic about 7500 miles?
Let me restate. Mobil1 does not make 5w20 in their extended performance the way I understand it. Their 5000 mile oil is petroleum oil: their 7500 mi oil is a blend. I don't think there is a syn blend oil that is GRP IV. Correct me if I'm wrong. Only M1 EP is a group IV.
The question was asked why are they not making an ep 5w20? They make it in the 7500 mile oil only. Also Amsoil makes an xl 5w20 which is a 7500 or 6month oil. Thus I said to the question, I don't think they want to spend the money to develop a group IV 5w20 for whatever reason.

That wasn't the question nor my answer. You are obviously more knowledgeable about Mobil 1 products than me. Please tell me what I'm missing about Mobil products.There was always Mobil regular oil and Mobil1. I thought they were replacing these with their new line which includes mobil5000, mobil7500 blend and Mobil 15000 ep. This is the first time Mobil1 has ever put a mileage recommendation on any oils, let alone ever recommend other than manufacturers recommended change interval. You are saying they kept plain old Mobil1 like before? I've not seen it in the stores.
