Do you know who delivers their gas and what pipeline they are using?

A local trucking company here, won't say name because my dad works for them, Delivers the same gas from the same pipeline, to Phillips 66, QuickTrip, Conoco, just to name a few. See, they all say different brands and names don't they, but they all share the same trucks, the same storage, the same pipe, the same gas. Like here, there is a Phillips 66 down the street, and then there is a Conoco. Usually the prices are fairly matched, while sometimes they'll be off a few cents, usually from the time delay I assume, but they all share the same gas. Something I would keep in mind for that aspect if you don't mind me saying so, just my two cents, usually if they share the same truck, they probably have the exact same gas.

You should know that pipelines seperate and carry different products and batches along the line and tank trucks have seperated compartments. A Shell refinery can move a batch of their gasoline from refinery to a Shell owned or leased storage tank 1500 miles away. Many of the name brand refiners try for total quality control from the refinery to the gas pump if possible. Mobil might have a contract to buy un-additized Shell gasoline from a teminal, but avoid the terminal's generic stock.

Pipeline and terminal operators do have fungible generic raw gasoline and petroleum products that are sold to smaller distributors, and in more rural areas, the odds that the gas comes from a generic stock increases. One thing that is most always different between name brands vs. generics is the propriatary additive package (and the amount per gallon) that the fuel contains.

The same oil is also marketed in Canada under the Canadian Tire house brand as Motomaster Formula One Synthetic. Goes on sale at about $15.00/jug several times a year.

I also use Shell gas, the V-Power to be specific. Their additive package keeps things like injectors, valves, combustion chamber nice and clean. Also, contains NO ethanol.
