I have been buying it for almost two years at this cheap price and I am using it in EVERYTHING I OWN.My question is why? shell dont give anything away. How does it stack up?.any voa's? my 02 vette,07 gxp,97f150,93 k1500,lawn mower, edger, tractor seem to like it.and sounds silly but it makes a really good gun oil/protect.I have found myself finding reasons to go to this store so I can buy more.

because their CEO isn't too greedy, and they know that people's buying habit is based on price, so they probably sell more to make similar profit. their gasoline sometimes costs 1 cent more per gallon, but at least I know it has good additives in it that keep my injectors clean. i notice that people all buy their gasoline in the station across the road, USA petroleum, because they save 1 cent per gallon.

we just picked up 3 cases ( 6 bottles per box ) of the full synthetic 5w-30 at BJs Wholesale for less than $26 each ( with tax ) . It would have cost more if not for the temporary membership that arrived in the mail . We're using it for both '08 YARIS , a sedan and 2 door liftback .

Do you know who delivers their gas and what pipeline they are using?

A local trucking company here, won't say name because my dad works for them, Delivers the same gas from the same pipeline, to Phillips 66, QuickTrip, Conoco, just to name a few. See, they all say different brands and names don't they, but they all share the same trucks, the same storage, the same pipe, the same gas. Like here, there is a Phillips 66 down the street, and then there is a Conoco. Usually the prices are fairly matched, while sometimes they'll be off a few cents, usually from the time delay I assume, but they all share the same gas. Something I would keep in mind for that aspect if you don't mind me saying so, just my two cents, usually if they share the same truck, they probably have the exact same gas.

I'd go for the newer station preferably too. That is the increased chance there is less water in the tanks since they were installed more recently, make sense? I mean you're car is going to get #@%%#ed up if you put water in your tank, so keep in mind age as well when you think of name. I heard horror stories from my instructor when he used to be a regulator in New Orleans, saying that the clerks would actually take water hoses and pump them into the tanks. There was more behind why, but just more food for thought. Do the clerks look sleazy? Heck, even too nice might be a cause for concern, they might be greedy instead of sleazy.

Back in early '04, Deutch-Shell was implicated for overstating their reserves by 20%. Overnight, the price of gas shot up 25 cents per gallon on the news of lessened reserves.

I guess they weren't "too greedy..."

the additives are what makes gasoline different...citgo checks their gas at retailers to make sure it is their gas being sold...that is what a truck owner told me...honda recomends using gas from a hi volume name brand dealer...i agree...i would love to get my hands on that shell synthetic..it probably it is really good like penzoil or QS, 2 other shell products...but i am too cheap to buy a BJs membership haha in NH...although i might reconsider

There is only one reason the Formula Shell Synthetic is sold for the price it is at, and that is Shell spends absolutely zero dollars in advertising for it. Same reason regular Formula Shell oils sell for the price they do.

Shell spends its advertising dollars on three oil brands, Pennzoil, both YB and PP, Q Synthetics, and Rotella T. The rest of their advertising dollar is spent on Shell gasoline.

The Formula Shell synthetic is a good Group III synthetic oil, but it is not the same product or even close to the same product as PP or Q Synthetics. That subject has been talked about on here on more post than I can count so I will not rehash that here.

Cant find it in a search any voa's??

I'd like to see the PP UOA, I just switched to PP mainly because this site talks that PP is ok compared to M1, and M1 is off the shelves here where I live.

My car definitely runs the best on Shell over all other gasolines. Z32`s are very picky when it comes to gasolines, and it`ll definitely let you know if it doesn`t agree with a certain one.

I use Canadian Tire gas (exxon), because I get $0.10/Litre ($0.40/Gal) discount... I have been running it in my Hyundai for about 2 years and it's great. Price can't be beat either!

we wait for the free 2 month membeship by mail , worst part is having your photo taken . I would think you'd get this offer as well . Otherwise not worth paying $40 for the year since we don't shop there that often .

I have PP in this car now and may do a UOA for comparison.
looks fine to me , we change out before 5,000 miles due to warranty . So , should hold it's own because the YARIS and XB are basically same engine .
