Why are European cars so problematic?

Toyota: For the man who likes his cars like my grandfather liked his oatmeal: Cold, bland and grey. But as regular as clockwork

Toyota: For the undertaker in you. The personality and warmth of a corpse with no surprises. DEAD reliable!

Tee hee!

But don't worry, I have some German ones too!

BMW: For the man who likes his car like his nymphomaniac ex wife: psychotic! But a whole lot of fun. You don't make appointments because she wouldn't keep them and when she asked for money you just gave her your bank card and cried into your pillow.

Mercedes: Like a high class hooker. She knows all the right moves and can do things that blow your mind but the price tag is staggering and you never know what unexpected and potentially difficult to deal with thing might "pop up".

Bwahahaha, I almost fell over!

Exactly my perception of them as well...

Exactly; I can't imagine a more bleak existence...

And I'll keep buying European or Japanese cars- and British streetfighters.

Pretty much, or as my buddy says about his Italian cars:

"like an Italian model, very expensive, very high maintenance, but my God what a ride!"

I love the "Camry Thrill Ride" ad- who in their right mind would put "Camry" and "Thrill" in the same paragraph- never mind the same sentence. Then there's that unintentionally hysterical "Camry Family" ad from a few years ago: Nerds in Paradise .

I'm guessing it works for their target audience- but I'm still surprised that the theme of most every Toyota and Ford spot is: "Our customers are morons- come join them!"

Typical advertising, dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. That is quite low these days!

We spend a lot of money on marketing here, and the stuff suggested by 'experts' is always so low IQ that I frequently ignore it. Yet I get great response, and smarter clients, too!
