LCT (Liquid Combustion Technology), a Chinese subsidiary of reincarnated Lauson Power Products (Tecumseh). Peerless is no longer under the Lauson umbrella having been sold to Husqvarna.

Unfortunately, Toro has been sourcing some Chinese engines for several years now on their riders. It's what made me pass simply because their is more sources & information regarding the domestic brand names. (B&S, Kohler, Honda, Kawasaki, etc.)

The Toro branded Chinese engines are manufactured by Loncin, the same manufacturer that makes the Preditor engines and generators sold by HF. Their engines are very close copies of Honda's engines to the extent that many parts will even interchange. Loncin also manufactures 650cc and under engines for BMW. Loncin's engines are fairly well regarded and are even being /copied/cloned by other Chinese companies.

Good to know... I have a HF 3500 watt generator & it's been trouble free so far. Hopefully, eBay is packed with new replacement parts if needed. Wasn't going to pay the high prices for the Honda gens. I feel better knowing it's from, what sounds like, a reliable source.
