Who makes Car Quest filters?

The Car-Quest part store sells filters under their name for around $6. Who makes these filters? I'm guessing Wix, but have no basis for it.

Yes, should be Wix. Dana lists them as a customer, CarQuest's site lists Wix as a filter supplier, and there were numerous web references to the relationship when we looked at this a couple months ago.

carquest filters are made by wix it says on the side of the box..those filters and napa's filters are the same specs. as the wix filters

Yep, that's what I thought. I just got the Jeep back from getting a new oil pump and ALOT of cleaning of the pickup and pan. My mechanic said it was so bad he was suprised it could even pump much oil to begin with, let alone the rod bearings, crank, and rods still in good shape. He had to use a wire brush drill bit to get all the hard gunk out of the pan. I got underneath to see what filter was on there and noticed it was a CarQuest.
