Who makes a good V belt?

Bando, Gates, ContiTech. Goodyear made good belts too. I'm willy nilly about Dayco. AZ is now carrying Conti, but I wouldn't be shocked if their V-belts are still Dayco products.

I had to install new V-belts for a lawn roller, A-section belts. The Gates I got off Amazon for that were made in Mexico. The last few Bando belts I've installed were made in Indonesia or Japan.

Ya so cheap I'm scared! $1.50 on rock Auto. Napa wants $40 each

Then buy a second one for a spare. Personally I'd stay away from Napa for belts. Never know what brand it may be.

All the options are disco duck as well. That's why a lot of dealers don't even bother looking up parts for older cars, you spend time trying to figure out the right part only to find they are obsolete. That is why we tossed all of our books from the 60s and 70s as well as the microfiche.
