I have an 05 Dodge with 5.9 Cummins, over 250K miles and tow my 9K travel trailer all the time. Most trips are from TX to CO. Some to SC. I service and maintain mine. I don't hesitate to take it anywhere. Plan on taking it to Alaska next summer for a 3 month trip. I guess it boils down to how much confidence you have in the truck. Mine has never let me down.

Meh I bought the truck for a reason. I pickup the gooseneck Monday. I'd rather own and use what I own.I can also maintain speed on the interstate with the rental trucksThe old 5.4 slows down as soon as it smells a hill within 50 miles. I'm getting passed by fully loaded 18 wheelers! Rental trucks have no problem running the speed rating of the tires all day.
$600 2 or 3 times a year is cheaper than a new truck.
With that said, I do use my truck for trips under 100 miles away.
I was in an accident that totaled my last one so this truck I've had since December. I bought it for the bay home. Mostly tows boats. I put a 70 gal tank in the back so I can pickup ethanol free gas to run in the boats and UTV.
Used my old Ford 7.3 last year to move my sister from ATL to DFW area 2,000ish miles. Trailer weighs 6800 empty, guessing about 11K with her whole house in there? I would be more concerned with the unknown trailer than the truck. New or used, go over the hubs, brakes, tires, suspension etc thoroughly.

If you are within the factory guidelines and your truck has been maintained and you have no issues now you should have no issues.
I would change that coolant out though and do any maintence that needs doing! It is always cheaper to do maintence before the trip than on the side of the road or in a shop off the interstate. The more desperate the situation the more they charge for repairs!
Anything questionable like serpentine belt or leaking petcock on the radiator fix it now! Airfilter, fuel filters etc... Always have spare coolant, water, oil, atf when you tow on hand.

For the record my 2012 Ram 3500 HO 4X4 Crew Cab 8 foot bed DRW has 180K miles. Miles are not an issue for me. Everything is either working as designed or it is not. Other than an idiot light and something you can hear or feel I have no way of knowing if my injectors are at 75% and my 68RFE trans is at 85% or my wheel bearings are at 65% etc.....I have 5th wheel or rather had one.
I do not have a tune on it and never felt the need. So I only have factory OEM guages no EGT's I plan on adding EGT's though.
Since you have a tune and deleted the EPA nonsense I assume you installed EGT's? Keep it at or bellow 1200°F and do not get on the gas pedal too fast and all should be good.
