White LR 927 any good?

Refurbishing one of these for a friend with a small yard. Was wondering if these are any good especially the tranny. It is some kind of CVT foot pedal thing. It needed a new fuel line, battery, solenoid, and carb cleaning. The flathead 9HP briggs runs pretty stout.

If it doesn't need much money put in then it's probably fine. Says belt driven cvt so probably the same type found in scooters and little atv's and those are surprisingly reliable if used with weak engines and not beaten on. I imagine the deck isn't rusted enough to not be worth fixing and it's at least 21 years old going by the production run date. After looking up photos of it I honestly love the funny little rinky dinky way it looks. Looks like a turtle.

As an update, this little bathtub toy is hilarious to drive. The carb needed a good Cleaning and is very borderline lean with no adjustment. If air filter is removed it is too lean. With it installed is is just on the edge. Runs good.

The cvt system and slower blade speed makes the engine feel way overpowered. The governor never needs to open up much.

The person that will receive it, their application is perfect. It is a property with just enough land to be too much for a push mower but too small for a 36 or 42in tractor. This is perfect. With proper maint it probably will last 20 more yrs
