Hi, guys.
I have 96' Infiniti I30 which 125k now. The car make whistle noise in the engine room. I have been the repair shops near my home. They told me it may be come from idler pulley or A/C or engine gasket. So I replaced idler pulley with a drive belt, but there is still noise. Also I think A/C is not problem because the noise is started since the engine temporature is on the normal. I mean when the car was started in the mornig, there is no noise. After I drove about 5~10 min later, it came from. When outside weather is hot, it comes from early less than 5 min since the engine was started. The bottom line is that the noise is related to the engine temporature (what I'm thinking). I have to tell one more symtptom. When I push the accelration to go, it is gone. For example, when I was waiting the red light on the traffic signal, it made noise after then I push the accelratin to go, it is gone. Whenever I push the accelation, the noise is gone. That's all what I know until now. I don't where it comes from. I tried to find several times, but I couln't. Even the mechanic who works near my home didn't find it. Do Anybody have the same or similar problem? Would let me know what's wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks.

A vacuum or intake leak may be the problem.
Any chance that you could remove the belt and start the car to see if there is a relation? It would identify/eliminate one source of the problem.

I cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve by the cleaner a week ago. After that, the noise haven't been come again until today. I think it's gone finally. You guys are real mechanic. I spent to repair ---- thing almost 2 monthes.

Thanks guys~
