I am actually a huge fan of The Batman and think it may be the best Batman movie of all time. Robert Pattinson did a great job of making Batman into a human being that did normal things and engaged as you would expect a normal human being to. I like the fact that they got back to Batman's roots of detective work and acting as a pure vigilante, moreso than a "superhero vigilante."
I have a real appreciation for how dark and gritty this movie was and I thought the featured villains were truly excellent, Paul Dano's Riddler was a great take on what a high level terrorist might look like in our present day.
I liked Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, however, it was a bit over the top at times and I think what I actually liked best about it was in Dark Knight Rises how Batman was effectively on the verge of being completely crippled as a result and consequence of his life as Batman which is probably the realest aspect of the entire trilogy. A great series but I don't think they have aged well and may not age better with time, but they were certainly defining movies of the 2000s-2010s era.
