IN particular, the following fluids should be replaced in any car, regardless. SOme sooner then others.

1. Engine Oil.
2. Transmission Fluid
3. PowerSteering Fluid
4. Clutch Fluid
5. Brake Fluid
6. Differential Fluid (Incorporated into a FWD transmission)

I think they have it all covered. But, I just want to say I think it's so cool how this site is world wide. I know this is late, but when I noticed he was from Japan, I was like...wow. Then it made me think about the members from Australia, Poland, Singapore (just to name a few), and again I think that's pretty cool. Maybe it's just be being a dork

Oh, and by the way...

Thank you for 'welcome'! And for the replies. Those appreciated.

This is great learning place and lots of support from members.

Toyoto Vista 02 is 'lean burn' engine (1AZ-FSE) what is called D-4. Good fuel efficiency but used engine oil becomes very dirty and dark. Lean burn means more oxygen and less fuel which leads to "complete combustion" and higher cylinder wall temperature. Which leads to NOx problem in exhaust and due to the high sulfur content in US gasoline, Toyota cannot export to US, according to a newspaper interview.

Anyway, OCI was mostly 3000 ml with M1 10W30. Flushed sometimes. Spent more than $700 per year for OC and ATF change at quick lube like place for last 8 years in Japan. Determined to reduce this cost and started to change myself since 2 years ago.

Recently started using Amsoil XL7500 for extended OCI. Plan to use dual remote bypass filter against the dark/dirty Used oil. Maybe lean burn creates lots of blacks...

For ATF, specified is Toyota type T-4, but I had been using Chevron ATF sold in Costco. No problem so far. Will use Amsoil ATF near future. Because I hope to keep this car for +200K. Hope Amsoil helps.

What are your traffic conditions and ambient temperatures?

I would hate to assume, having never been to Japan, but I hear driving is slow.

If you get a used oil analysis, we can compare its results to Mobil 1 used stateside in Toyotas which may be interesting.

You might have a timing belt which has a replacement interval and is vitally important to maintain.

Also could you please post pictures of your car and maybe even where you park it? This thread about a Corolla in Poland spurred much interest.

Hi folks,
I have Toyota Vista 2.0L FWD at 60K miles milage. This model was not imported to US, so none of you have this car, i guess. But generally speaking, for FWD car, for maintenance, which oils should be replace, except engine oil, ATF, PS and Break oil? ATF is used by auto transmission and front differential. Does FWD car has rear differential gear as well?

Was there thread showing list of oil maintenance data before? If anyone knows, please help!

I would add coolant (antifreeze) to the list. Otherwise, I think you have it covered.

There is no rear differential for your car, unless it is an all-wheel-drive.

I recommend you search for a forum specifically for Toyota owners and ask the same question. Also, try to get an owner's manual specific for your vehicle to see what maintenance is recommended, when it should be done, and which fluids are specified.
