If you use Amsoil oil, what oil filter do you use? I only want to hear from the Amsoil Oil users, please.

Why Amsoil, of course! I have used M1 filters on my wifes Blazer, but AZ charges $12 for them now. Going to use a Super Tech, STP or AC Delco (I have all 3 in stock) on her next change with Amsoil 5W30.

When I changed my JD 2520 to Amsoil, with Amsoil filter, the filter plugged and bypass did not kick in giving me ZERO oil pressure. I went the rest of the year with a John Deere filter. I've got Pennzoil LL with a JD filter on it now.

get the cheaper version of amsoil filters, Baldwin

.
But i used amsoil on my last 2 amsoil changes, no high insolubles for 13k and 16k miles

Now im on mobil 1 with stp, and next will be pure 1 after i do my dino flush with autorx.

I use AMSOIL products exclusively for my engine oiling system. (Haven't had a chance to switch Trans fluid, Gear oil, etc.)

I equate it to when I learned to paint a car. Use the same company's stuff. It's been tested, with their other products.

I trust a company who is dedicated to lubrication as a whole. AMSOIL makes oil, they make oil filters, they make By-Pass oil filtering systems, and make they're own By-Pass oil filters. And guess what........they are all good products. IMO

Audi 100 - oversized Amsoil SDF-15

Toyota - oversized Amsoil SDF-96 (the shorter version of the SDF-15)

2002 Audi TT roadster - the free MANN Longlife filters from the dealer (which are excellent, BTW)

If I need just a filter and don't feel like taking one off the shelf at a local account, I go to Autozone and buy a Mobil 1 filter....

I switch around from Amsoil to Baldwin to Toyota. I'm using Baldwin right now.

Amsoil buys their full-flow oil filters from Clarcor (Baldwin/Hastings). A company owned by Smilin' Al, who's also the owner of Amsoil, makes the air filters and the bypass filters.

Al owns the company that makes the air filters and maybe bypass I believe, but although he may own shares of Clarcor I doubt he has a controlling interest in it. Clarcor via the Hastings plant makes the Amsoil oil filters

I would use Amsoil filters, but the lack of a silicon ADBV (my opinion) makes my truck tick with cold starts. Other than this, I believe that Amsoil filters are top notch.

I currently use the Motorcraft FL-820s and have no problems with ticking upon start-up.

I don't know where you're getting your filters from, but all the new amsoil sdf filters have a silicone adbv...

Mann W917 filter
Ford FL-1A

Amsoil oil filters are not a necessity, but I think they are necessary if you go 6-12K mile OCI's. I wouldn't use any other filter beyond 5K miles or so.

Pablo,

You wouldn't use the Baldwin's? I ain't trying to start a peeing contest, but I just wish someone could prove to me that the SDF's have something about them that is different from the Baldwins.

The way I understand it....the only difference between the SDF's and the baldwins, is that all the SDF's use the HPG filter media. Not all baldwin filters have it.
