Which MTF for '07 Civic Si?

I have an '07 Civic Si, and as many of you may know, the factory fluid doesn't have the greatest reputation. Honda released a new and improved MTF, and so far I think that's what I'm going to go with since I know it won't mess anything up. However, I would like to gather some opinions from you guys. I would like something that would make shifting smoother, but not at the expensive of my synchros/longevity.

I've heard people recommend Synchromesh and amsoil, but I see nothing showing that these fluids won't hurt the transmission. That's why I posted here - I wasn't sure if anyone has compared them and shown which had the least amount of wear etc.

Amsoil or Redline will not hurt your transmission. You can find some anecdotal information in this forum with Amsoil MTF.

However, you are smart to ask for real data. To my knowledge there is no scientific "comparison" anywhere.

I have used a 50-50 mixture of Redline MTL (5w30) with Redline MTL-90 (15w40) with a topoff of Honda's new improved MTF in my 2004 Honda Accord. Shifting quality has improved, and I feel more confident with aggressive downshifting with the thicker viscosity fluid in transmission box. I had previously used original Honda fill, Amsoil's synchromesh fluid, and Redline's MTL exclusively. I found the mixture of both MTL's with a topoff of the Honda fluid is an excellent elixir and I would recommend highly. I find the accord's engine runs better with thinner oil, and shifts smoother and more precise with the thicker manual transmission fluid.
