So my Saturn's rear defrost doesn't work it all started with the tab coming off I re glued it with that special glue. Well that didn't work finally I gave up and well my fiance tried putting on some quick steel and thought that would work well it didn't and it looks like [censored]. So I would like to take it to get repaired. Where would I go a glass installer? A regular mechanic shop or will the whole window need replaced?

I will live with it not working if its going to be an drastic amount of cash to have it fixed. Its not that big a deal but its the only thing that does not work and I wouldn't mind it working. So any thoughts are great on where it can be done and maybe an idea or estimate on cost?

I'd start with an auto glass repair place if it were me. They have to replace rear windows all the time from collisions and comprehensive claims, so they will at least be able to point you in the right direction if are not able to do the job themselves.

Front window on my Saturn was about $230 to replace. I was curious and did a search for a 98 SL2. Online quotes were over $500.00!

There are some Saturn owners that had success repairing.

defroster repair

On the Frost Fighter website there is a tab replacement kit available. If you could undo what you girlfriend did, you may be able to install a new tab? Take your time. There was a lot of tips and tutorials online to ensure repair was successful. (None of them meantioned quick steel
