When to report coyote sightings to the sheriff

Any time someone painted a big rock to look like it was a long-winding road, was always a winner for me. Loved seeing one of them smash into the rock at full speed.

I know of 1 episode where the coyote caught the roadrunner, of course he went through a pipe that reduces in diameter first so he was about an inch tall. Couldn't do anything with the roadrunner.

I'd say about 100'. Didn't want the mother coyote going after my 5 yr old daughter. I had to do something. They didn't eat the stuff. I just got rid of their house. Maybe the mother knew about an old den someplace else,,, and went there to live. I used about 3 cans of " Big Gap" foam filler. Deep den. The pups were pretty big, it was in August, so they had to be 5 months old already. The house was new construction, so they probably came back year after year,,,prior to the house being built....
Sounds like a pretty good solution, instead of shooting the mother.
I don't mind Coyotes around, but I don't like them habituated to humans like they seem to in the city, as a couple large northern ones are capable of taking down a whitetail deer, so most humans are easy meat compared to that, let alone kids or seniors. My neighbor just lost a calf to some which is rare, but it happens. I'm out in the sticks, so they keep a low profile, but the odd one is brave enough to get shot from the house during the day, which has been a good management policy for our hobby farm.
