When should I get my UOA done?

I bought a 1999 GS400 with 59K miles and immediately did an Auto RX clean and rinse. I changed the oil yesterday with Mobil 1 5w30 and plan to change again in 7,500 miles (I added 6 oz of LC yesterday and plan maintenance doses of 1 oz every 1K miles).

I was planning on doing a used oil analysis on the next two OCI's and sending the 2nd one to Terry Dyson for his interpretation (I figured the 1st OCI would have residual from the RX cleaning to be as meaningful as the 2nd OCI). Does this make sense or should I just send Terry the next used oil analysis?

Terry understands what should (or should not) be present in an UOA, even with Auto-Rx present. He's helped me interpret results from both Auto-Rx clean and rinse oils. The sooner you start recording a baseline of the wear metals that your engine produces, the better.
