WHEN I CORNER THE ENGINE DIES

Could also be a fuel pump problem. Should be pretty easy to check the fuel pressure in it - head to almost any auto parts store with a tool rental place, they should have a fuel pressure gauge for you!
 
No low-oil-press light? My old '05 Focus shut down on low oil pressure once. That was due to improper towing damaging/cocking the oil filter, which subsequently sprayed out all of the oil when I next started the. Cornering with low oil levels might cause something similar.
 
So you get to drive it instead? LOL.

My first guess would be flaky harness on the fuel pump. I had this on my 91 BMW, and while cornering didnt set it off, when it got loose, it would start and then stop abruptly.

PS pump locking the engine?

How's the idle speed?

what speed must you be cornering at?

foot on gas or on brake?

open hood, start engine, wiggle all wiring harnesses. stay clear of all moving parts...

it's not a fuel-in-tank issue, as fuel flow is not immediate tank-to-engine.... takes a good several seconds, even in a circulated system.
 
I had the same problem in my van. It turned out to be the positive wire going from the battery to the starter. The steering components had rubbed a hole in ut and was grounding it out. It was easy to find with two people. I was underneath and saw sparks under the passenger side.

But seriously, does the speed you take the corner at have any effect? Or does it happen at any speed? Also, does the car die the moment you turn the wheel, or at a specific steering angle, or sometime in the middle of the corner?

If it is fuel starvation, the engine will not just die immediately, it takes few seconds for the gas in the lines to be burned off.

If it happens immediately when you turn the wheel and it is not related to speed, than it may be the ignition, or a short somewhere.

First guess is fuel. A pickup that is too high or leaking.
And of course any wiring or connector.
Battery loose? Bad motor or trans mount that allows too much shift and yanks on something?

I hope you haven't overlooked low fuel!
 
Just a couple of quick questions

1.How many miles on the truck
2.Have you had a throttle cleaning service or a fuel service done recently or lately?
But most importantly,,how many miles.I saw a lot of this when I worked at dealerships in Wa. state,,,especially vehicles coming in from Canada,because of the road salt,the fuel tanks and the filler pipes,build up a lot of rust and it piles up in the bottom of the tank,,,and then if you do a fuel system service,the fuel filter can't clean it all up,,so it gets dumped into the fuel rails and lodges in the back of the rail,,until you make turns and then it clogs the injectors,,,sounds nuts,,,but I would clean the rails and the problem would stop.Just a thought
