Why woukd you run an injector oil i. A pre mixed application? Why do you think the oil caused this failure.
4mix engines are famous for valve train issues. Its just a terrible design.
Maxima says injector or pre-mix for that oil......
From an email correspondence I had with Maxima....

Thank you for your question and interest in our oils for your lawn and garden equipment!
For your 4-Mix applications, we would recommend our Super-M Injector product.
This formula offers a lower viscosity and ultra clean burning formula that will still offer some protection for a sustained-rpm use like in Lawn and Garden.
Let me know if you have any further questions regarding this and I'd be happy to assist further.
Thanks for choosing Maxima,

So, I don't say the oil caused the failure but it may have. I don't know. All I know is that a pushrod came out of place and wrecked the cam area while I had the blower running unattended wot in my garage. The dealer allowed me to look at the carnage. Ran for 25 minutes then quit. I have a 21 year old fs100rx that has tons of commercial hours on it. I have done all of the maintenance which included one valve adjustment... And that was in 2025. So, bad design? It may be a bad design but the blowers are the worst application due to the fan being in the way of the cam. As you know Echo has recently started producing a homeowner blower with their 4 stroke hybrid design. Why???? My hope is that traditional 2-strokes survive the EPA. That being said I think the 4-mix trimmers are fine, but not for the mechanically lacking people. With all of the moving parts there is more potential for failure. When I see and hear of various criticism of the 4-mix design I think a great deal of the problems can be traced to lack of proper maintenance and, as in my case, being inattentive. I was testing the Maxima oil while I was inside my house eating. Failure may not have occurred if I would have been tuned in. But, failure did occur and it was at least in part in the valve system. Not sure if wrist pin or rings were seized. I was ready to get going with a warranty replacement blower. Stihl did not hesitate to replace the blower.
