What's the best tool to cut through metal rods?

My gate metal rods are now scraping through gravel. Need to cut at least a portion of 5 rods.

AS Rand said thou, might want to see if the gate is sagging and maybe fix that instead?

Just get a 4.5" angle grinder and .045" discs.

Cheap cutting discs will be .060" and suck

Gate is sagging, check hinge side post for plumb (straight up & down) and correct. Cutting is short-term solution and not a fix of the root cause.

The grinder you posted and this diamond cutting blade. I don't like self destructive blades as who know if there is asbestos in them, and if they don't, they still through micro powder in the air. Wear a high end respirator.

This diamond blade has a ton of industrial diamond at the cutting end so it is the fastest cutting blade I have found yet. They have 4, 4.5, 5, and 7 inch versions.

Thanks for the replies. I think it's soil erosion. Here in Houston we experience a lot of rain last Spring. Almost everyday

What do you have now?

Are they solid or hollow? If there hollow just get a hacksaw, take 5 minutes.

If there solid then I would say sawzall over grinder cut off wheel - but probably depends on what tool you want to have for next time.

Can you take the gate off? If so you could use a cutting wheel on skill saw or jig saw if you have them already.
