Whats the best and worst fuel filters to use? My 95 neon has an external 3 line filter. Ive used the dealer one, autozone, and NAPA gold so far. I have seen Fram, Hastings, wix, purolator also make their own too. Wondering if htiers a differnce, maybe one filters better than the other?

OEM or qualty name brand. It does not seem that there is such severe quality control and cost cutting measures made in the fuel filter area, yet.

Though others may have seen issues with them too... I havent, the ones I use still seem quite robust and well made.

Well, with a good quality brand name, youde think tey would filter better, crud ect from the tank...
yes? no?

that depends on media, not name. There is always a tradeoff between pressure drop (fuel pump wear, etc.) vs filtration (what is good enough to go through an injection pump/injector, etc.).

Id be more concerned with quality construction than absolute filter efficacy. Generally there will be more than decent enough media if the construction is good and correct.
