I have been using Rural King full synthetic oil for several years.
It is Dexos approved and I thought it was pretty decent oil.

Today I was doing an oil change and this plastic crap came out of the jug...…...hopefully my funnel caught all of it.

Seems like pieces of plastic...…..anybody got other ideas ??

I did do another drain and fill after this.

When I took the cap off of the jug the aluminum seal was intact.

Which is why I used the word "almost," knowing Bitoger's always check the cap and/or seals on oil jugs. I wonder if it got in there from the factory that made the jugs, or from someone on the line filling the jugs. At any rate it's interesting.

Definitely communicate with the company and the store you bought it from. There may have been other complaints.

Is the substance brittle or flexible? My first though was that it's flashing from the jug manufacturing process.

Just guessing on my part. It would take a analysis to find out.

Flexible but kind of stiff...…..almost like old plastic wrap.
I thought it might be a lining on the jug if they use one ?

The first thing I thought when I saw the picture was that it looked like cellophane.

Well somedays you just get lucky.

Wow, seal intact. So obviously it would have had to happen before seal applied. Agree, it does look like cellophane type material. Yes, hopefully your funnel caught it all. New one on me.

After seeing this I'm getting a strainer filter of somekind. Could you imagine pouring your oil in and seeing this or anything going down the funnel.
