What's physically larger? Gen I/II Hemi vs Boss 429 vs Coyote?

Ie: AJ496, etc. They are all machined from forged aluminum dry blocks with liners. And they all share engine architecture with the old Chrysler 426 Hemi.

One of my best friends on the Tour was John Force's Car Chief in that time frame. I saw the 'Boss500' up close. The only really unique thing about it was what the marketing department chose to call it.

I understand that, as I realize their hands are tied on any deviation from the spec. Is that engine still in use do you know?

Well I guess it depends on your definition of "that engine". Understand I'm not trying to be pedantic. Everyone is using a machined from forged aluminum dry block with liners, with architecture based on the old 426 Hemi. Now are some teams sometimes making slight changes that allows them to claim a proprietary engine? It happens.

Yes, within the constraints of the definition, do you know if say Force for example, is still using the "BOSS 500" or was that excursion into brand identity abandoned?

I haven't seen a blue anodized block denoting the 'BOSS500', in awhile.

John, Courtney, and Brittany are sponsored by Chevrolet. Maybe we'll see an AJPE TFX block with a bow-tie machined into the side, and labeled an 'LSZZZ500', for Chevy's marketing purposes.
