I would recommend to everyone to do the closest thing the car has to a factory reset on the infotainment system as soon as you drive it off the lot and set everything you can to not share data with the manufacturer. That is what I did with both of my current cars.

I do allow software automatic updates though, which is probably something of a liability, but dangit I want the new features!

And OP's infotainment reset does not touch the telematics black box in modern cars----great if you're on the receiving end of a reckless driver (for liability/criminal purposes), not great if you're the reckless driver, lmao.
