Just curious-what did you learn to drive on? I learned on a 52 International L110. 3 speed on the column, split rear window. Great old farm truck!

I learned to drive on Farmall Models A, H, and M tractors long before I was old enough to drive. but as far as a road going vehicle, I'd have to saw a '74 ford F100 field bomber.

1960 Ford Falcon 3 speed manual.
1979 Pontiac Grand Prix......I loathed that car. Then, when I turned 16, I got a job & bought a used 1983 Monte Carlo. I mistreated that car sooooo bad. I had it for four years. It burned & leaked oil very badly so I never changed it, just topped up when it got low. I did that for 80k miles. I do, however, suspect that my mechanic father changed the oil in it once or twice while I was sleeping until noon.
You would think that since I paid for the Monte Carlo that I would have taken better care of the engine......nope, I was a careless/wreckless teenager.
Oh, well at least I take care of my cars now.

Before my drivers license, a John Deere 1520 Gas tractor. When I turned 16, a 1966 Chevy Malibu, with 283 2BBL and "PowerSlide" transmission. I also learned to drive Dad's 1965 C10 6 cyl. 3 on the column manual.
After I graduated, I bought a brand new 1973 3/4 ton Chevy pickup with 350 V8 and 4 on the floor truck tranny. It started to rust out in 18 months, the tops of the wheel wells were gone and through the fenders. Cost $3500, new.

I learned to drive on an Allis Chalmers WD45 tractor. The first car I used for driving lessons was a 1951 Buick Special with a straight 8 and three on the tree. It had so much low end torque, it was almost impossible to stall when letting out the clutch.
Wish I had that old Buick today.

73' VW super beetle, 4speed. I rode a Sachs moped before I got my drivers licence.
1960 something Jeep with a Buick V6, and a 3 speed manual. Looking back, I don't think it had shocks, springs, or any suspension at all. That is, it rode so rough I think the axles must have been welded straight to the frame.
1984 Ford F-150 automatic and my first car was a 1980 Toyota pickup (no last name) and that is what I learned to drive manuel on.
62 Dodge...slant 6 and 3 on the tree...non syncro 1st gear.

I learned how to drive my aunt's Beetle at age 10.
In driving school I drove a Peugeot 205 and a Golf, both diesel and, of course, stick.
1976 Chevy Malibu POS wagon although Dad wanted me to take the test with his '65 Chev truck w/ 3 in the tree (no 1st syncro also). "If you drive that, you can drive anything" was his comment.
88 Nissan Hardbody. 2wd, 4 spd manual tranny. I took my road test in a '90 Pontiac LeMans with an automatic tranny. I didn't quite have the clutch on the standard tranny figured out yet.
