what tranny fluid?

just wondering if anyone knows what type of transmission fluid i should use on my ford fairmont. its a 3 speed automatic.. i was thinking Type F, but all the bottles say for 1980 and before, mines an 81...

any input would be most helpful

my info says '81 and up Dex II , '80 and below Type F

It is a C3 trans correct?

im not 100% sure. i just learned the c3 has 11 pan bolts and the c4 has 13, or maybe its the other way around. either way, i havent had a chance to look
