What toothpaste do you use?

Why would anyone use cheap toothpaste? You're only saving a few cents per cleaning. These cheap products allow carbon to build up on your teeth. I only use Amspaste.

I was surprised to learn that toothpaste has a negligible direct effect. The overwhelming benefit comes from the brush action.

It's the secondary effects of toothpaste that provide its benefit. People tend to brush longer, more frequently and more regularly when using toothpaste. You are forming a habit, driven by the "clean" taste. Toothpastes usually have a mint flavor so that you "feel it working".

A light does of fluoride is the other benefit, but you can get the fluoride in other ways if needed.

I admit that I'm thoroughly conditioned to need toothpaste when brushing.

I may try that Listerine.

I'm am really MAD church and Dwight suspended production of Mentadent. Not the best product at WHITENING but It was excellent I back of throat and tongue health.

But, I'm Sort of sick of mint.
Screws up the morning coffee or tea flavours.

Anyone gargle with dilute hydrogen peroxide regularly?

Definitely don't use Listerine toothpaste shortly before your morning coffee. BLECH

I tried peroxide, but got sick of all the foam at the back of my throat.

That's a good sign of a bacterial massacre, though. Can't knock it for being ineffective
