That stuff foams way too much for my tastes. As for cleaning in the sun, you're right, but I usually don't have much choice. So I just use Stoner's and buff a bit and it comes out great.

Recently, I put Liquid Glass on the windhield and it really makes cleaning a snap.

I don't use Rain-X anymore because of what I call instant "Rain-X Ice"....

If there's a light layer of dew on the windshield, one wipe with the wipers will spread it out and create instant ice across the windshield.

I use newspaper and rub until it soaks up all the water. I learned this from the owner of a gas station who had us do the customer's windows that way when we washed the car. The only thing it won't remove is bird stuff which has to be washed/scrubbed off first.

Rain-X can cause some problems with glass.

Stoner's is the best of the foaming cleaners.

Vinegar/water puts everything else to shame.

You know that film of crap on your windshield you can't get off. Vinegar/water takes it off.

You have to use it very sparringly or you'll get streaks. But all I recommend for my tint customers and all I use myself is 1 part vinegar and 3 or 4 parts water. Plus, it removes odors (once the vinegar odor leaves).
