What to do for a VIN Plate?

I've got a 4x8 trailer I use to haul my quad and other stuff, and I welded the tongue of the hitch over where the VIN was since it was in the way. Now there's no way to identify it as mine if it were stolen or something if the license plate were removed.

What can I do to put a VIN plate on it? Maybe weld-able so it can't be removed? I still have the VIN as its on the title.

Maybe stamp the numbers/letters into a part of the hitch or frame with those metal stamp sets you can buy At various places

Mine had an aluminum sticker that fell off. I got out my metal stamp kit, a hammer and the Title and put the numbers back on the tongue. Theres a certain spot where they are supposed to go.

Go stamp the axle too, then if you get heck you can say, well, the axle has a VIN...

Stamp all the major parts. Invite friends and see who can make the deepest impressions. Take some photos for your records.

Ok looks like Harbor Freight has a set of letter punches for $14.99. If they fall apart I'll just return them.
