What Suzuki motor in a '98 Arctic Cat ATV?

Buddy of mine has a 1998 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 ATV. Engine I believe is a Suzuki. Stamping on the side of the case says "3400m".

Engine on the Cat smokes bad and fouls out plugs. Thinking on a cheap-o top end kit.

Does anyone know what or how to lookup what Suzuki motor this actually is, or what Suzuki this translates to? I can find Suzuki King Quad jug, piston, ring kits dirt cheap on eBay.

Not interested in throwing tons of money at it, but it'd spark my interest with a

Not sure about a 98, but this kit seems to list a couple different suzuki's for early 00's.

I can't find anything with a quick search saying the earlier artic cat's had suzuki engines. All I can find is a gasket set and its specific to 98-01 artic cat

been reading that Kymco supplies many engines to various brands, prolly best to join + try specifc ATV forums + todays price gouging makes repairs a good move unless you got DEEP $$$$ pockets!

Partszilla is the best ATV parts source I've found for looking things up. Parts for 98 Artic Cat appear to be scarce and pricey..

Thank you. Yeah these are a weird, expensive ATV. Fortunately a lot of repairs have been cheap eBay parts and or bearings matched up from local bearing suppliers.
