What software can cycle ABS pump on 1st gen Mazda 3

2006 3i 2.0, need to cycle ABS pump, tried FORScan through a Topdon Rlink but option not avail. Looking for a budget software or hardware that will work.

Brakes were fine, after 1 ABS application in rain I had a soft pedal, no leaks. Could be a stuck bypass in ABS but not sure.

Tried to bleed but still same soft pedal.

Or if you slammed on the brakes that hard could be the master cylinder.

The $60 Autel Maxi AP200 scan tool will have the capability to cycle the ABS module to support bleeding your brakes. You can select Mazda as the primary brand when setting up the app software to get the full suite of features, including key programming.

It was a hard press on the brake pedal, I was thinking a seal and I have a new master cylinder arriving tomorrow.

I agree, I actually have read of a few instances like mine and it was a stuck valve in the ABS.

My initial thought was the master, but now I'm thinking I have to at least try to cycle the pump.

Been there done that on our 2007 Mazda 3i. At some time or another an ABS activation was made and left with a low-ish pedal. Afterwards I forced the ABS to activate by doing a hard stop, which fixed the pedal for a short time but then went soft again.

New master cylinder didn't help.

Ended up replacing the entire ABS module which cured the problem.

Forget where I read but IIRC these modules have an internal zinc plating that corrodes over time if the brake fluid doesn't get changed regularly, then leads to stuck valves.
