What Size Ball For Hitch?

I have a tongue for both a 2" and a 1 7/8" and just keep them under rear floor panel with the tire jack.
A wrap of foam and a bungee keeps them form making noise while I drive.

U Haul is all 2 inch. Last drive on car trailers and tow dollies I rented from them was 2 inch. 1 7/8 has gone the way of the Dodo but still out there on old stuff or super light weight cheap trailers.

I just borrowed a friends enclosed dual axle cargo trailer and it used a 2 5/16" ball. Most of the other trailers that I tow are 2".

Same 2” ball/hitch on from previous MDX and now Pilot has covered me 99% of time in last 15 years of interment towing rentals and borrowing trailers.
