What oil do Suburu's like?

in case you didnt get the jist from all these replies. Subaru engines are just great engines and love ANY oil. Just go browse the UOA section and just about every subaru engine turns in a great report regardless of what oil was used. Use whatever oil you feel most comfortable with based on name, price or whatever.
 
100,000 miles is nothing for the 4 cyl., 2.5 liter Subaru engine. I also would not arbitrarily switch viscosities. Stick with the
Subaru-recommended 5w30. I run Mobil 1 EP 5w30 in my wife's 2003 Subaru Forester. And it does not increase engine noise.
