Going forward, I'll go to the new Auto Zone that opened up down town. Oil is oil, keeping the sumps full is key. Changing evry so often helps too. The rest is all advertising.

I reached this conclusion after buying an 88 BMW 528e with an unknown history with 150k miles on it. Over the next 12 yrs, 200 k miles, I serviced the car with 20W50 dino oil and STP filters at 4k OCIs. The only synthetics I used were 75 90 gear oil and Dot 4 brake juice. The car passed MA emissions on the original cat shortly before I retired the car due to rust issues.
