What killed these SBC rod bearings?

It was due to the owner using ow16 or 0w20 or 0w30 oil. It was too thin and film strength was exceeded due to the overheat issue. If he would of been running 20w50 or maybe t4 15w40 he would be fine, probably made it to a service garage with no coolant with the thicker oil and have saved the motor. Why? Because thicker is better right?

Eating a bunch of coolant could easily have compromised the bearing in that 'Burb engine.
