That rifle is my single most prized possession. It belonged to my fathers father, who acquired it in a trade for a load of hay from a poor farmer. He showed it to me several times, and I fell in love with it. He said I could have it when I turned 18, or when he died. He died on his 81st birthday, which was the day after my 14th birthday.

Nothing too exciting, a 1982 M1969 Romanian Trainer and a Sheridan pellet gun, Sheridan was around till 75 so its at least 35 years old.

Hopefully my dad will give me the SKS or 1947 Enfield NO5 MK1 "Jungle Gun" but Ive asked him for the last two years...

i don't have any guns at the moment, but I would love to own an 1895 Mauser rifle. If you can even still get them. for a reasonable price.

I have a Cadet 1873 trap door Springfield, probably manufactured in the 1880s. It is in incredibly good shape. I also have a very early 1903-A1 Springfield. It hurts every time I see a modified 03, especially an A1. I shot my first deer with a sporterized (I bought it that way) Remington 03-A1.

I can see where Mikhail Kalashnikov got some of his ideas for his AK-47

He admits thats where the safety came from. He also admits to stealing the idea for the trigger as well from John Garand's work.

1892-94 Webley Mark 1. For many years, until recently, I thought it was a 1905, but it turns out that was the date it was reproofed. The Mark 1s were out of production by '05.

I've got a Styer M-95 made in budapest that was make in 1917 and a Swedish m 1986 mauser that was made in 1916. Both are fine rifles. I also have a 1903 springfield, but I'm not sure what year production it is.

Id find out what year it is since the early 03's are not safe to shoot due to the poor metal heat treatment they received.
