Soy Lube SL-100 by Biokleen
Works great for around the house and have used it on squeaky car doors.

• PENETRATES stuck/slow moving parts
• CLEANS with dissolving action
• PROTECTS against corrosion and rust
• SEALS and dries out moisture

Non-Toxic & Ozone Safe:
An effective non-aerosol lubricant that’s safe for you and the earth. Most petroleum-based lubricants are harmful or fatal if swallowed. Biokleen Soy Lube SL-100’s biobased formula is made entirely from renewable resources for an effective lubricant that lasts longer and is less hazardous than mainstream alternatives.

just Google dry film lubricant and take your pick.

I personally like chain lube with PTFE in it. works great on my ATV and motorcycle le chain, door hinges, fishing reel bearings, etc...

If you know a company that sells BG products, buy "IN-force." That is the most effective penetrating oil I have ever used, however, it is rare and expensive.

+1

Put PB Blaster next to WD-40 and it is so much better. Someone told me they have different uses (Penetrating Oil vs Degreaser, I may not have that right,) but WD-40 still has the Respect factor.

But PB Blaster is some incredible stuff.

EDIT: I also have Liquid Wrench but i believe i threw it away i will simply buy PB Blaster if i need some, as it makes LW look useless.

Ballistol. Get some of this stuff. You won't believe how many uses it has. In some of their advertising I remember them saying "you'll never stop finding new uses for Ballistol" and boy are they right. Its not a "normal" lube at all. Its a very old formula. The german Wehrmacht used it extensively. It is used as a bore solvent. It will mix with water as it is an alcohol-oil mix. In this capacity it is an unparalled corrosive ammo cleaner. Its mildly alkaline, so my newest use was to clean heavy green corrosion from my car's battery terminals. With little effort they came cleaner than anything I've ever used for this purpose. It even preserves leather. Look into it!!

I like to use Justice Bros. JB-80. The old man gave me a can and it works very well as a lubricant and as a penetrating oil.

Seems like I have just about one of every on hand. If I need a drop or two of oil for lube I use "Super Lube". If i need more than a few drops i use whatever synthetic car oil I have on hand.

If it is a penetrating oil, Kroil. Wonderful stuff.

WD-40 I spray on rusty things when I put them up to rest like garden implements. I have been also using PB blaster for that purpose just to use it up since I got Kroil. For my small tractor, general purpose grease.

I also have graphite penetrating oil for when locks freeze, special stuff for the garage door and a few others.

Call me a collector of flammable fluids.

CRC Freeze off. works better than everything i've used, including PB blaster.

When I was young I loved the little cans of 3 in 1 lube. Used it on my bicycle and minibike chain and cables. Everything really. I probably would have run my little vertical B&S on my minibike with it if I could.

Then I discovered Hank Hill's favorite, WD-40.

Later switched to Slick-50 lube. Good product in spite of it's affiliation with the oil with teflon powder in it.

I currently like SeaFoam Deep Creep. It does so much so well.

Have you guys seen this report?

The table below extracts the results.
The lower the number of pounds the better. Interesting that a simple mix of acetone and power steering fluid (PSF) works the best!
Penetrating oil Average load Price per fluid ounce
None 516 pounds
WD-40 238 pounds $0.25
PB Blaster 214 pounds $0.35
Liquid Wrench 127 pounds $0.21
Kano Kroil 106 pounds $0.75
PSF-Acetone mix 53 pounds $0.10 (50/50 mix)

Kano Kroil is the best for penetrating oil, we use it on turbine bolts that haven't come apart in 30 years plus, and after spraying them for a few days, the Kroil penetrates right throught the nut. I used to use Walter Bolt Out but it doesn't compare to Kroil. I also replaced WD 40 with the LPS penetrating oil, it doesn't penetrate well but it lubricates much better than the WD 40. The Kroil is alos very good for gun parts as long as you keep it off the wood, it doesn't freeze and I've used it in my rifles at temps around -25C without any sticking issues.
