Was putting the new insurance cards in the glove compartment, and found this. It is a 8.5x14" sheet, I can only scan 11.7" long so some is cut off, but it is the same stuff on the lower part of the page. What exactly is this thing?
Most of VIN blocked for security.

Build sheet, gives date, location of manufacture, and codes/PN for what is in your car. Nice to have hang on to it.

Definately keep it. I wish I still had mine; it was in the trunk when I went for a test drive and after I bought the car it had disappeared during the dealer's prep work along with the plastic on the seats, etc.

It is not a build sheet for your (entire) car. It is a sheet for a fiber panel assembly made by Saline Plastics and sent to the customer (Ford, I presume) at the Wayne assembly plant.

Keep that sheet. Some good engineering numbers on there for if you need replacement parts (ford does not generally put part numbers on the parts, just engineering numbers).

once again. this is a sheet from Saline Plastics - who makes door panels, consoles, instrument panels. this is NOT an engineering sheet for your entire car.

If you want to look for the build sheet from the assembly plant, a lot of times they stick it up above the gas tank. Thats where Mustang build sheets are often found, or at least they were from back in the Dearborn Assembly days.

the engineering numbers for the dash parts are good numbers. although being a newer Ford he just needs a VIN to look up the right parts at a dealer.

Mine was under the back seat for my '87.

That is from the Police report. I am surprised that you have access to that!
It says it was a stolen vehicle that had massive body damage from being wrecked at least once.

[Or, it's the factory build sheet!]
