So,

If you own a Toyota/Lexus product of a certain vintage, you'll have most likely had to deal with a noisy or rattling steering intermediate shaft

The TSB says either to replace with a new one (which fixes it for a time), or pay $20 for this little syringe and 4 gram tubes of this special grease

I just had to buy this kit again, and it actually had a piece of paper that names this special grease

Shell Alvania Grease 0972

What makes this stuff so special?

Can it be used for anything else?

KryTOX lol
What a name. Not much misleading!

Kry- from I assume Cryolite - a sodium aluminum fluoride mineral
and TOX because that stuff is toxic

Just another fluorinated (halogenated) lube, great useful physical properties, even better toxicant.

Oh DuPont .... or should I say "ChemOurs" (which translates to Chem Bear... because they specialize in violent chemicals that shred your biology?
