What is the shudder I am feeling?

2016 Nissan NV 2500 van 4.0 engine. 5 speed transmission.

I am feeling a slight shudder, vibration when I pull away from a full stop.

Van bought used from commercial liquor delivery company. I checked the fluid and it looked good. I did one dump and fill and used Nissan fluid specified for the transmission. Year or so later I did another dump and fill using Valvoline Maxlife fluid which claimed to be able to replace the Nissan fluid. Another year has gone by and I'm starting to feel this slight vibration when van moves off of a full stop. Looking at videos I have come up on searches I am not certain I am seeing what I need to be certain what the problem is.

What Might I be looking at here? Fluid still looks good and it where it needs to be on the dipstick when checked hot. Doing a dump and fill on this vehicle is easy due to it not being a sealed transmission. I can do another if it is time and suggested here. Thanks everyone.

The first thing I’d check with any shudder/vibration on acceleration/deceleration only are driveshaft U joints. Those would be both easiest and cheapest place to start.

I have been paying closer attention this last week and came to the conclusion that it may well be in the drive line. I doubt the bearings have ever been changed on the van. There is over 125K miles at this point and I think I need to research how the job gets done on this model of van. Thanks for the input.

The first thing I would do when servicing a new-to-me vehicle is drop the transmission pan for cleaning and to double up on the magnets. If the magnets aren't clean they can't do their job and your fluid will continue to degrade and accelerate wear.

Three drain & fills is where I'd start, could be all in one day or one at each engine oil change.

I did do that job. I have done 2 so far. I am going to do the third soon. I have not done them back to back so to speak but have spread them out. The original fluid looked very good and the transmission did shift well. I did a drain and fill with Nissan Matic-S. Later I did a second drain and fill with Valvoline Maxlife. The transmission is still shifting well. I am considering doing another drain and fill soon. Total milage on the vehicle is now just under 250k.
