What is the differance between these 2-Amsoil oils

The Amsoil ASL SAE 5w30 Synthetic Motor Oil is more expensive then the XLF - XL 5w30 Synthetic Motor Oil,so obviously there must be some reasoning here,so can someone tell me the what is the difference between these two oils.

ASL = PAO
XLF = Group III

The 5w30/ASL also has a more robust, long drain (12 TBN) additive package, compared to the 9 TBN, XL Series. Both these oils will perform about the same for service intervals up to approx. 10,000 miles. However beyond that the ASL has more reserve capacity to minimize wear and deposits....
