Visom was a John Wayne western made in the 60s...uh...no, that was Chisum. Let's see...oh, yeah: Visom is XOM's equivalent of Shell's XHVI base oil. The feed stock is slack wax.

Wow that stuff is THIN. It appears to be equivalent to an SAE 10 oil (10w-10). I wonder how they thicken it up to get 10w30, 10w-40, et cetera.

They have a couple different versions of it, one is heavy, the other light.
