What is equivalent to Honda Multi-Purpose Grease?

Honda specifies multi-purpose grease in many areas of the factory service manual. What is it exactly? I know it's not High-Temp Urea Grease or White Lithium, since those are specified separately.

Can anyone recommend a suitable substitute I can buy at any auto parts store?

if you can not find out what Soap or thickener they use just pick a good Lith grease and then "flush" old grease with a few short lube intervals you will be fine.
