Been looking for a new job and many of the positions I have been looking at require DOD secret clearance, which i have, but also EOD; looking around this means "Entrance on Duty".

To what does this refer? Is it an HR term, DOD term? Could I get a general overview of why this vehicle has been created.

Thanks.

It refers to a series of form's that has to be completed to hired by a federal government agency. This is for HR purposes to calculate your federal benefits.

If memory serves me correct.

Edit: What kind of job did you apply for?

I should have mentioned I worked with explosives in the military so I had already dismissed this as a possibility. I haven't applied for anything, but it looks like a TSA job.

If EOD means Entrance on Duty, which is one way I'm familiar with it, thats not a requirement. Thats just the routine you go through once you're on the job. Briefings, paperwork, etc..

I am a veteran (of BITOG); that makes me qualified to work with the ATF.
