Bob knew Tony from back before this version of the site came to be, as Tony (and myself, as well as a few others that are still here) used to post on the old version of this message board (which was configured similar to a newsgroup type of format back then). When Bob got the UBB software and created the version you see here in May 2002, Tony and myself were one of the first 6 members to join up, and since he knew us from before, he asked both of us to be moderators. When the time came for Bob to sell the site, Tony offered to take it over, and did an excellent job of keeping it running smoothly (just like Helen is still doing as well)

Bob has popped in from time to time, I believe he posted a few things this summer actually.

Bob Winters started the board in 2002. He visited both the Edmunds board and Noria. Tony visited both boards also and they became friends. Tony, Patman, Rugerman, Joee and a few others helped take care of the board. When Bob had a stroke and some other medical problems he could not take care of the board. In April 2004 Tony bought the board and there was almost 4,000 members. Gene Polk wrote the board rules so that everyone was clear as to what would not be allowed. He took the original rules and then expanded them to include anything that might be a future problem. The mods and admins are members that have volunteered to help keep this board a place to visit and relax with internet friends. Patman is one of the original mods. They are a great group of guys that give a lot of time to make this website all that Bob and Tony wanted it to be. Tony died January 20, 2007. Today we have about 15,000 unique visitors per day and that keeps all of us busy checking post. I appreciate everyone that makes this board an interesting place to visit.

Rugerman and Joee still pop in and check on us once in a while. I wish they were still posting. I miss both of them and their great post -- always interesting.

I still do lurk and read from time to time. A few years back my personal life took a turn, and I had to drop off from the board. I moderated for years and made alot of friends and had alot of fun. I am glad to see that Helen still has the board and the site is still going strong. I have to say that I really miss Tony, he was a good friend and gave me some really good advice about life.
