What is auto R X

First of all thanks for all your replies on helping me choose oil for my 2002 focus! I am getting alot of you suggesting that I auto rx it first! I'm sorry for ths silly questions but what is it and where can I get a can? I'm just north of detroit MI.

Seriously, AUTO-RX is one of the safest, most effective engine cleaners and seal conditioners I have ever come across.

Yes, it gradually loosens up all of the crud inside your engine and allows it to circulate with your oil. If everything goes right, your oil filter will catch most of it before it does any harm.

Their web site has pictures of oil filters packed with debris after using it. I shudder to think of all the stuff circulating after those filters plugged and bypassed.

Keep a reasonable oil change schedule and you'll never have to resort to such desperate measures.

Unfortunately, most people can't know this if they bought a used car unless records are provided.
