@TiGeo has not been banned. His participation is up to him.

Speculation about banning is distasteful - if someone ended up banned - they wouldn’t want that speculation.

Of note, when we know that a member has passed away, we convey that to the group. We can’t always tell, though. Usually, a close friend posts something, or lets us know.

I think you may be confusing bears with Yautja hunters (Predator). Bears do leave claw and tooth marks on tree trunks.

There was one member, can't recall his user name, posted disparaging remarks towards Valvoline Maxlife ATF at every opportunity. It was attributed to a mechanical failure that led to some serious drama. If given the opportunity, I think he would have become a Maxlife serial killer. I don't know if he got banned or just dropped out.

Myself, if I'm using the search engine correctly;

• Joined BITOG in 2003 - I actually think it was earlier.
• Left in 2016 - At the time, most threads went totally off-topic after the 2nd or 3rd post. I felt that I really wasn't getting or adding anything useful.
• Returned in 2021 - As I'm transitioning to newer vehicles, there is a need to get and stay current. This forum is one of the best for practical and useful knowledge by a wide margin. Thank you.

It's totally normal for regulars to disappear without a word and let a bunch of random strangers wonder or even worry.

Personally, I believe if you've been on BITOG for a lot of years, regardless of how many posts you have, you are not exactly a "random stranger."
